With this document, we begin to explicitly outline the Community-Based Research Centre’s (CBRC) guiding research principles, providing a framework for our research team, staff, community advisors, collaborators and partners, affiliated and external researchers, and others who we may work with.
Recognizing the importance of reflexivity, growth, and change, this is a living document that we will revisit and revise as we continue our work. The research principles we outline below are aspirational, a guide to the work we must continuously do. We approach this work with humility, not assuming we are experts nor the sole practitioners.
