CBRC is undertaking a national intervention: the Smarter Prevention project. This initiative will promote both structural and personal change to improve health outcomes for gay, men and women who have sex with men (gbMSM). By Summit, Sex Now Survey, Investigators and the GbMSM Health Network, CBRC will seek to maximize prevention and health promotion strategies in our communities.
Darren Ho and Michael Haack, we're pleased to announce some changes,
Darren Ho is joining the Program Manager of the gbMSM Health Network. He has been working and volunteering in Gay Men 's Health since 2011. Most recently, he was the Mpowerment Program Manager at YouthCO , coordinating educational and social opportunities for gay, bisexual and queer youth across BC. He is a member of our City of Colors. He is dedicated to ending HIV stigma and strives to build stronger communities for gay men.
Michael Haack will be joining the Program Coordinator where he will be employing his passion for community building and non-profit organizations to coordinate CBRC projects. He is a Master of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship candidate at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, and has extensive operational experience as a Director of Operations with a national political party.
Other changes include Rob Higgins , formerly the Program Coordinator for CBRC, who will be responsible for the Sex Now Survey . He'll be working with Dr. Nathan Lachowsky and CBRC's research committee to implement the 2018 cycle of our national survey. Rob has been involved with CBRC since he first participated in Totally Outright more than five years ago. He has a strong background in federal politics and not for profit environments, and has become an integral part of our team.

Le CBRC entreprend une intervention nationale : La prévention plus intelligente. Cette initiative fera la promotion de changements structuraux et personnels dans le but d'améliorer les résultats pour la santé des hommes gais et bisexuels et des autres hommes ayant des relations sexuelles avec des hommes (gbHARSAH). En mettant à profit nos programmes réussis comme Summit, le sondage Sexe au Présent, Investigaytors et le Réseau de santé gbHARSAH, le CBRC cherchera à optimiser les stratégies de prévention et de promotion de la santé dans nos communautés.
Il nous fait plaisir d'annoncer quelques changements, y compris l'arrivée des nouveaux membres de notre équipe : Darren Ho et Michael Haack.
Darren Ho se joint à nous à titre de directeur de projet du Réseau de santé gbHARSAH. Il travaille et fait du bénévolat en rapport avec la santé des hommes gais depuis 2011. Le plus récemment, Darren a géré le projet Mpowerment chez YouthCO, où il a coordonné les activités éducatives et sociales destinées à la jeunesse gaie, bisexuelle et queer de partout en Colombie-Britannique. Il est également bien connu à titre de membre fondateur du regroupement Our City of Colours. Darren s'est dévoué à mettre fin à la stigmatisation du VIH et travaille fort pour renforcer les communautés d'hommes gais.
Michael Haack se joint à nous à titre de coordonnateur de programmes. Dans ce rôle, il mettra à profit sa passion pour le renforcement communautaire et son expérience du secteur à but non lucratif pour coordonner les projets du CBRC. Il est candidat à la maîtrise en innovation et entrepreneuriat à la Smith School of Business de l'Université Queen’s et possède une vaste expérience du fonctionnement des organismes qu'il a acquise à titre d'ancien directeur des opérations d'un parti politique national.
Les autres changements incluent la promotion de Rob Higgins qui troquera son ancien titre de coordonnateur de programmes au CBRC pour celui de directeur de projet du sondage le Sexe au Présent. Il travaillera avec le Dr Nathan Lachowsky et le comité de recherche du CBRC afin de réaliser l'édition 2018 de notre sondage national. Rob est affilié au CBRC depuis sa participation à l'atelier Totally Outright il y a plus de cinq ans. Depuis ce temps, il est devenu une partie intégrante de notre équipe.
