“It’s true that the policy does discriminate and needs to be improved, but the good news is that we can push for improvements to this policy from a gender neutral and behaviour-based perspective. It’s important for folks to know that the behaviour-based screening element to these chances has always been an important part of the advocacy… We recognize that safety is still a paramount concern.
