Call-Out Community Advisory Committee - Quit Buddies

Thank you for your interest! Registration is now full. To keep up to date with similar future opportunities, sign up for CBRC's mailing list, or keep updated with our social media!

Are you a member of the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community who smokes or used to smoke tobacco? Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of your peers?  The Quit Buddies program will provide education, peer support, and supplies to 2S/LGBTQIA+ people across Canada who want to quit smoking and/or adopt healthier smoking behaviours (e.g., smoking less). We are currently recruiting members from across Canada to participate in the Quit Buddies Community Advisory Committee.

This committee will meet once every three months to help inform the development and delivery of a national virtual tobacco harm reduction program for 2S/LGBTQIA+ people called Quit Buddies. Meetings are typically held virtually but we may host one in-person meeting for participants (we will cover transportation and accommodation costs for any in-person meetings). Participants will receive a $100 honorarium for each meeting they attend. The project will last for three years. However, we understand that some advisory committee members may not be able to commit to the entire project timeline. So, we ask that individuals interested in applying commit to at least a one-year period.
