COVID-19 Pandemic Response Funds for Two-Spirit People in BC: APPLICATIONS CLOSED

Applications Closed: Due to an overwhelming response, this funding application is now closed.

Has COVID-19 left you in financial strain?

As we are now a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, many Two-Spirit folks continue to face challenges brought on by the health and financial impacts, as well as day-to-day life disruptions caused by the pandemic. To support Two-Spirit community members during this time, CBRC has partnered with 2 Spirits in Motion Society (2SiMS) to be able to offer and distribute a one-time COVID-19 stipend of $200 per applicant to Two-Spirit individuals living in British Columbia. This stipend is intended to cover personal costs in order to help alleviate the financial challenges Two-Spirit people may be facing due to the pandemic, such as costs related to food, housing, transportation, or any other living expenses. What the individual uses it for is up to them-- no documentation is required other than to complete the simple application form below.

To be eligible, applicants must self-identify as:

  1. Two-Spirit and Indigenous,
  2. A resident of British Columbia, and
  3. Someone who has faced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic (i.e. loss of job or income).

2 Spirits in Motion is a non-profit society that creates, maintains and strengthens a safe and supportive social environment for Two Spirit peoples to feel and be loved, to succeed, to become empowered to make their own decisions and to find and express their purpose in life.
