Gay Men Resist Stigma

Calling on young gay men to contribute personal writing for a publication to be launched at the 2015 Gay Men’s Health Summit.

  • Memoir, journalism, biography, personal narrative addressing stigma

Stigma stereotypes, discriminates, excludes, segregates. Stigma has the power to oppress. Gay men are deeply affected by stigma. Our communities continue to face the challenges.

We still have a lot to learn about stigma, its vocabulary and its impact on health. You can make a contribution to our understanding of stigma with your writing submission.

  • 400 to 800 words; editorial assistance from writer Craig Barron

Opportunity to participate in a reading of your work at the November 2015 Gay Men’s Health Summit in Vancouver which will focus on the impact of stigma on health.
