Although individual risk levels vary, gay, bi, trans, Two-Spirit, and queer men (GBT2Q) and many non-binary people are disproportionately burdened by sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs). This guide summarizes general recommendations for screening and pharmacological prevention of STBBIs among GBT2Q people. Non-pharmacological STBBI prevention such as barrier methods (i.e. condoms) should be promoted routinely.
