What’s different about 2S/LGBTQIA+ mental health care access? Mental Health Service Access focuses on the capacity of mental health systems to respond to the lived experiences and needs of 2S/LGBTQIA+ communities, and ways to better tailor your practice to meet 2S/LGBTQIA+ mental health needs. The module will explore barriers experienced by 2S/LGBTQ+ people in accessing mental health services, as well as meaningful action service providers can take to improve and inform mental health resources and support.
This course, in conjunction with Mental Health, Coping & Connection and Conversion “Therapy” Practices in Canada can be completed in a flexible time frame of 2 to 3 hours, accommodating various learning preferences and styles, with the option to break it into segments.
