Queering Pandemic Preparedness: Addressing the Mpox Response and Where We Go from Here

Sunday, November 23
12:00–2:00 PM ET

This event will be hosted by research teams from the University of British Columbia, University of Montreal, and University of Toronto to gather inter-provincial, cross-sectoral collaborators who to discuss experiences, learnings, and study findings from two CIHR-funded team grants researching the learnings from mpox. This is an open meeting and we ask that you circulate within your networks to interested parties.

We intend for this meeting to contribute to planning and relationship-building for future outbreak responses. Here we will ask the questions: what worked well in the mpox response, and what can be improved? What connections and relationships across sectors do we need to foster to have a timely, culturally competent, and effective response moving forward?

If you are able to attend this meeting, please RSVP at this link.

Coming on the tail end of the CBRC Summit, we hope you will be able to join us for this additional meeting. If cost is a barrier to your participation in this meeting, we have limited funds to distribute that will be available to those who need to cover an extra night in a hotel, or travel to/from the meeting space. If you would like to make use of these funds, please indicate on our RSVP form, linked above.

English/French translation will be provided during the meeting. Other access needs can be noted in the RSVP form.

Disponible en français.
