This interactive roundtable will explore how racism towards Black and Indigenous peoples shows up in a variety of healthcare-related settings in Canada, including HIV prevention and sexual health services, as well as within medical/nursing education and training. Panelists will share insights based on their personal and professional lived experiences to raise awareness of the ongoing need to dismantle anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism embedded within health services and systems. Attendees will be invited to participate in an open discussion to identify priorities and strategies for advancing anti- racism initiatives in healthcare settings.

Presented by: Athanasius “Tanas” Sylliboy (Eskasoni Health), Jessy Dame (CBRC), David Absalom (Independent Consultant), Marvelous Muchenje (ViiV Healthcare)
