2S/GBTQ+ Syphilis Regional Action Plans

In response to Canada’s ongoing and regionally-varied syphilis epidemic, CBRCs Advance Alliance has developed a series of provincial action plans to address syphilis among 2S/GBTQ+ communities. These action plans reflect the unique challenges and opportunities present in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia, and aim to strengthen local responses to syphilis through actionable, community-informed recommendations.

These recommendations were developed collaboratively, with input from public health representatives, healthcare providers, community-based organizations and affected communities. Together, these partners leveraged their lived experiences, experiences in service delivery and policy expertise to offer practical actions health systems and key stakeholders can take to enhance syphilis prevention, screening and treatment.

Because these action plans were developed regionally, they have been presented in the language in which they were originally submitted. Thank you to our Advance Alliance partners for making this project possible: ACT, MAX Ottawa, Health Initiative for Men (HIM) and REZO.
