(Un)Covered: Episode 5 - Boundaries and Healthy Relationships

In March 2020, CBRC partnered with Quadrangle NL and the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland and Labrador to deliver Pivot in St. John’s. This leadership program is focused on building capacity in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to address systemic health inequities.

Pivot participants created “(Un)Covered: Sex at the Kitchen Table” - a series of webinars to talk about personal experience, knowledge, and the impact of 2SLGBTQIA+ exclusion from sexual health education programs and healthcare.

Episode 5: Boundaries and Healthy Relationships, was recorded on January 16, 2021.

During the episode panelists discuss boundaries when it comes to building relationships. How culture, ethnicity and religion can play in the dynamics of a relationship. That the key element to any relationship is open communication between partners. Along with how the most important healthy relationship is with ones-self, knowing what you need. The panel included Rowan White (they/he), Lorena Resendiz Hernández (she/them) and Ellie King (she/her). With land acknowledgement by Rowan White and moderated by St. John's CBRC Regional Support Coordinators, Charlie Murphy(he/him) and Yohei Sakai (he/him).
