(Un)Covered: Episode 7 - Sexual Liberation

In March 2020, CBRC partnered with Quadrangle NL and the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland and Labrador to deliver Pivot in St. John’s. This leadership program is focused on building capacity in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to address systemic health inequities.

Pivot participants created “(Un)Covered: Sex at the Kitchen Table” - a series of webinars to talk about personal experience, knowledge, and the impact of 2SLGBTQIA+ exclusion from sexual health education programs and healthcare.

Episode 7: Sexual Liberation, was recorded on Feb 27th, 2021

During the episode panelists discuss how sexuality is more than just how we define a part of ourselves, it’s also a movement. The Panelists talk about sexual liberation and what it means for society. How does it impact our healthcare, entertainment and law makers. Listen to our panelists’ cover topics like porn, sex work, media and more.

The panel included Heather Jarvis (she/her), Ryan Reid (he/him) and Valerie Webber (she/her). With land acknowledgement by Denise Cole (she/her/they/them) and moderated by Pivot graduate Jennifer Snow (She/They).
