Young GBQ Men's Perspectives on Drug Checking Interventions

Part of Improving Mental Health & Substance Use Access for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender, & Two-Spirit People: Insights from Research & New Interventions

LGBQT2S people are more likely to struggle with mental health issues and substance use, yet few effective interventions are in place to address these issues. When LGBQT2S people attempt to access services, they face multiple barriers including stigma and financial constraints. Panelists will discuss new initiatives aimed at understanding and reducing these barriers, and will stimulate discussions on the need for targeted approaches.

Presented by PJ Coulaud at Summit 2019: Queering Healthcare Access and Accessibility, in Vancouver October 31 - November 1. For more information visit cbrc.net/summit
