Key learnings and research priorities from the 2S/LBTQIA+ women and gender-diverse agenda-setting meeting

As part of CBRC’s Summit 2025 in Montreal, CBRC, in collaboration with Dr. Celeste Pang, co-organized an agenda-setting gathering on issues facing 2S/LBTQIA+ women and gender-diverse communities. The gathering aimed to catalyze community-based research by, with, and for 2S/LBTQIA+ women and gender-diverse people.

Discussions at the gathering shone light on the concrete ways that structural and systemic forces – including misogyny, sexism, transmisogyny, and cisheteronormativity – create and drive social inequities that impact the social inclusion, participation, and overall well-being of 2S/LBTQIA+ women and gender-diverse communities daily and across their life course.
