Do You Mind? Mental Health Pilot (2020-2022)
Over a series of sessions, participants engaged in interactive workshops with fellow community members and leaders to develop a critical understanding of gender and sexual minority mental health. They also learned practical health promotion strategies, including storytelling, active listening and community care. Upon completing the core training, Do You Mind? offered participants the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills by creating their own community mental health promotion projects, in partnership with local organizations in their cities and regions.
This project was piloted from 2020–2022 by CBRC, in partnership with YouthCO (Vancouver), the QTHC (Edmonton) and The Youth Project (Halifax), and with funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Mental Health Promotion Innovation Fund.
